let's recycle!

Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:

1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡

2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.

3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.

FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.

That's it babes! Remember to love our earth; love our planet! #dontbetrashy

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I mix my Dr Jart Nourishing BB Cream with moisturiser?

There are no rules when it comes to fining the right finish with your BB Cream. Want to mix your Dr Jart Nourishing BB Cream with your favourite moisturizer for an extra shot of hydration? Go right ahead. Just be sure to combine it with a cream that doesn't pill, for the best results. You can also moisturize before applying your BB Cream.

Can I just wear BB cream alone?

You don't need to combine your BB Cream with a moisturizer - you can wear it on its own, which might be the most preferable route for you if your skin is on the oily side.

What's the difference between BB cream and tinted moisturiser?

The key difference between a BB Cream and a tinted moisturiser is that generally, the latter's primary function is to hydrate while providing sheer coverage. BB Creams may target hydration among several skin concerns, and also offers comparatively more coverage, as well as SPF protection to some degree.

Does Dr Jart Nourishing BB cream clog pores?

Dr Jart's Nourising BB Cream shouldn't clog your pores - although just be aware, it contains a few occlusive ingredients and texture enhancers that could have a 'veil' like effect on your skin. While this enhances its even coverage potential and soothes dryness, it might be unsettling for oily skin. This isn't a hard and fast rule, mind you - but patch test first to see what works.

What's the difference: Dr Jart Nourishing Black Label BB vs Dr Jart Premium BB?

The Black Label Nourishing Beauty Balm from Dr. Jart+ is a triple-action remedy that provides coverage, helps correct uneven skin tone and calms blemish-prone or sensitive skin.

What's the difference between BB and CC cream?

The difference between a BB cream and a CC cream is this: BB stands for Beauty Balm, while CC stands for Complexion Corrector. BB creams therefore, do it all: they can treat blemishes, nourish the skin, offer mild coverage, hydration and SPF protection. A CC Cream meanwhile, is more focused on evening out the skin tone and colour correcting. They tend to over better coverage than BB Creams (although not as much as a foundation), and unusually come in matte finishes (vs BB Creams' typically dewy formulas).

What is a BB Cream used for?

A BB cream (or Beauty Balm) is used to deliver hydration, mild coverage and SPF protection. They are lightweight, and can be used as a replacement for a moisturizer (particularly if you have oily skin).

Do you put moisturiser on before BB Cream?

Whether or not you should put on a moisturizer before your BB Cream really depends on your skin and what it needs: combination skin for example, might find it needs a layer of moisturizer on the cheeks but not on the T-Zone before BB Cream application. Oily skin may prefer a BB Cream on its own, while dry skin might need the extra moisture reinforcements.
