Have you heard of glutathione? It's a naturally occurring antixodant in our body that basically fights toxins and cell damage - making it a critical anti-ageing ingredient. And because a higher concentration of free radicals also cause hyperpigmentation, gluthathione is also great for evening out a patchy skintone. Neogen's Surmedic Bright Glutathione Mask also uses niacinamide and licorice root for extra brightening power, giving tired, dull complexions a glow boost.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which is better, collagen or glutathione?

There's no cut and dry answer to whether collagen or glutathione is better. As they both serve different functions, the answer really depends on what your skin needs. Collagen is naturally produced in our bodies, but tends to reduce as we age. It can help keep the skin supple and plump, which is why it's often in demand in skincare. However, owing to its large molecular size, collagen isn't absorbed very well through skincare (hence, the rise in popularity of collagen supplements). Hydrolyzed collagen, often used by K-Beauty brands, breaks it down into smaller form to aid absorption. Glutathione on the other hand, works to brighten the skin. It should be a key ingredient to look for if your skin concerns include hyperpigmentation, dull skin and acne scars.

Is it okay to take glutathione everyday?

Glutathione is a safe ingredient to be applied topically on an everyday basis. When it comes to ingesting glutathione supplements (yes, they're available in supplement form too!), the jury is still out. We're not quite the experts in that field, so we would advise you to speak to a doctor first to find out if it is suitable for you.aa

What are the benefits of Neogen Surmedic Bright Glutathione Mask?

Neogen's Surmedic Bright Glutathione Mask offers several benefits for your skin. Primarily, it brightens and evens out the skin tone, helping to correct sallowness and hyperpigmentation. Secondly, glycerin and hyaluronic acid improve skin's moisture levels. Lastly, niacinamide (also a brightening ingredient in its own right) helps to fortify the skin barrier and treat sensitivity.

Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:

1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home.

2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.

3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.

FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.

That's it babes! Remember to love our earth; love our planet! #dontbetrashy
