let's recycle!

Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:

1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡

2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.

3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.

FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.

That's it babes! Remember to love our earth; love our planet! #dontbetrashy

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream comedogenic?

The Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream is non-comedogenic, along with all the other products in Etude's Soon Jung line. It shouldn't block your pores, but just be aware it is a ceramide-rich moisturizer intended to soothe dry and dehyrated skin. If your skin is extremely congestion prone, you might want to use it in tandem with a BHA toner and a mugwort or propolis serum.

Is Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream good for oily skin?

The Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream is not ordinarily good for oily skin, as it is quite a rich moisturizer. Oily skin tends to perform better with gel-based moisturizers, as a rule. The exception to this however, is if your oily skin has come about has a result of a broken skin barrier, over-exfoliation or harsh anti-acne products dehydrating your skin and causing your oil glands to go into overdrive. In those cases, the Soon Jung cream may be able to put your skin back in balance, in tandem with the Etude House Relief Toner.

Is Soon Jung good for sensitive skin?

he entire Soon Jung line from Etude House is excellent for sensitive skin. The products are hypoallergernic, fragrance-free and non-comedogenic to boot!

How well does this absorb to into skin?

The Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream absorbs quickly into the skin, perhaps because it is surprisingly lightweight for a barrier-reinforcing moisturizer. It doesn't leave any sort of residue or film afterwards, either.

Does it feel greasy?

The Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream does not feel greasy. While it's ceramide-rich, it's not oily and won't leave your face feeling like a greaseball. It pretty much applies like a basic cold cream, leaving you feeling hydrated and refreshed.

Will it cause irritation?

The one thing that the Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream DOESN'T do, is cause irritation. It comes with a clean ingredients list, all of which have low potential of generating irritation on sensitive skin. As always however, we recommend that you patch-test first - particularly if you have hypersensitive skin.

How does it improve skin texture?

In short, Etude House's Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream improves skin texture by repairing a compromised or damaged skin barrier. If your skin barrier is damaged from excessive sun exposure, harsh skincare, overexfoliating or strong anti-acne treatments, it actually leaves your skin more vulnerable to potential irritations, allergies and even breakouts. By providing good, clean, hydration and soothing a broken barrier with the power of ceramides and panthenol, it can reduce the scale and severity of congestion and breakouts, thereby leading to smoother skin.
