let's recycle!

Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:

1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡

2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.

3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.

FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.

That's it babes! Remember to love our earth; love our planet! #dontbetrashy

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Cosrx hyaluronic acid cream good for oily skin?

The COSRX Hyaluronic Acid Cream can be good for oily skin but ONLY if your oily skin is also dehydrated. It won't add any greasiness, but should quench your skin and rebalance its moisture content. If you have oily skin that isn't dehydrated, you might want to opt for a lighter formulation.

Is Cosrx hyaluronic acid good for acne?

The COSRX Hyaluronic Acid Cream might be good for acne prone skin as a way of delivering hydration without clogging pores. It's also a nice offset to harsh anti-acne treatments. In and of itself however, it won't counter acne as its primary function is of course, to moisturize!

How do you use Cosrx and hyaluronic acid?

COSRX and hyaluronic acid are a match made in heaven, and it's easy to use! Simply apply at the very last step of your skincare routine (or before your sunscreen in the mornings), and pat gently to absorb. It's best to ensure your skin is slightly damp before applying, in order to get the most out of the hyaluronic acid content.

Where can I buy hyaluronic cream?

You can buy hyaluronic cream at Kanvas Beauty (obvi), and team it up with other great HA products. We've got hyaluronic acid essences, serums, toners, ampoules, sun lotions, emulsions, even hyaluronic acid tanning drops!

What should you not mix with hyaluronic acid?

Actually hyaluronic acid is a very versatile ingredient - you can pretty much mix it with everything. It's safe to use with active ingredients such as vitamin C, acid exfoliants, retinol and niacinamide. On a small amount of people, low-molecular weight hyaluronic acid can cause some irritation - so always patch test first! If hyaluronic acid doesn't suit you that much, don't fret - there are plenty of great HA substitutes, including beta-glucan, cica gels, aloe, trehalose and Tremella Fuciformis.

Should I use hyaluronic acid every day?

Hyaluronic acid is perfectly safe to use every day. It's a naturally occuring component in our own skin, and doesn't cause much irritation or adverse effects for most people. But don't forget the golden rule - skincare contains a variety of ingredients, and should always be patch tested first before you apply it on your face!
