let's recycle!

Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:

1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡

2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.

3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.

FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.

That's it babes! Remember to love our earth; love our planet! #dontbetrashy

Frequently Asked Questions

How well does Dr Jart Ceramidin Serum absorb into the skin?

Dr Jart's Ceramidin Serum absorbs quickly into the skin - and vanishes particularly fast if your skin is parched (it's a tell!). Consider it your go-to when your skin needs some barrier-fixing.

Will Dr Jart Ceramidin Serum cause irritation?

Dr Jart's Ceramidin Serum shouldn't cause irritation; on the contrary, it is designed to soothe and protect. It works on sensitized skin, sun damage and dehydration. The formula does use a number of plant oils including fragrant essential oils. so patch-test first if you've been known to display sensitivity towards essential oils, or avoid altogether.

Does Dr Jart Ceramidin Serum feel greasy?

Dr Jart's Ceramidin Serum feels hydrating, but shouldn't feel greasy or like it's sitting on top of your skin. It has a thick texture, but is fast absorbing.

Can I use Dr Jart Ceramidin Serum if I have sensitive skin?

For sensitive skin, Dr Jart's Ceramidin Serum is a solid choice. The formula doesn't use artificial fragrances, parabens, PEGs or harsh chemicals. But as always, patch test first. Our skin can change its mind about what it's willing to accept based on environmental factors, hormones and stress levels, all of which wax and wane throughout our lives!

Is Dr Jart Ceramidin Serum non comedogenic?

There's nothing in Dr Jart's Ceramidin Serum's ingredients list to suggest that this product is comedogenic (i.e. blocks pores). If you already have oily skin, then this might not be the serum for you unless the excess sebum is produced in response in your skin being dehydrated. In that case, this serum should help to restore your skin's equilibrium.

What are the overall benefits of Dr Jart Ceramidin Serum?

The overall benefits of Dr Jart's Ceramidin Serum is less sensitized skin, redness and dry patches. It makes an excellent pair with actives - try using it after your retinol serum to prevent dryness and irritation, or after an acid exfoliant to restore your skin's lipids. It also works well with a high strength niacinamide serum (5% and over).

How does Dr Jart Ceramidin Serum improve skin texture?

Dr Jart's Ceramidin Serum improves skin texture caused by chronically dry skin, dehydration or a compromised skin barrier. Just trust in the process, because a damaged barrier takes approximately 2 months to recover! With regular use, you should see less dry patches and roughness. Those little red bumps that can arise after applying skincare (a reaction caused by a damaged barrier) should also subside.

Does Dr Jart Ceramidin Serum even skin tone?

Dr Jart's Ceramidin Serum, like the rest of Dr Jart's Ceramidin range, will help to even out skin tone by restoring hydration, improving texture and treating redness. It isn't a targeted hyperpigmentation treatment however, although dry skin is often a trigger for making hyperpigmentation worse. Try this serum in combination with your favourite vitamin C serum for the best improvements in skin tone.
