let's recycle!

Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:

1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡

2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.

3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.

FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.

That's it babes! Remember to love our earth; love our planet! #dontbetrashy

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA Toner everyday?

Some By Mi's AHA BHA PHA Toner can be used everyday or as a weekly/bi-weekly exfoliation treatment: the answer really depends on the condition and needs of your skin. Typically, a product using chemical exfoliants such as this toner from Some By Mi don't need to be used very often to see good results. Also, if you have mature or thin skin, you'll want to cut down frequency of usage so you don't irritate your skin barrier. However, younger and severely acne-prone skin can use the AHA BHA PHA toner often, particularly if teamed up with a good moisturizer afterwards. Try patch testing it first, and seeing how your skin goes with a twice weekly application first before upping or lowering the frequency.

Does Some By Mi Miracle Toner contain alcohol?

The Some By Mi Miracle Toner does not contain alcohol. Of course, for the most up-to-date list of ingedients, always check the package. More broadly however, the formula is quite simple and clean. There are no parabens, PEGs, mineral oils or artificial fragrances.

How does it smell?

While there are no artificial fragrances in the Miracle Toner formula, it does contain tea-tree extract (to reduce inflammation) and a small amount of peppermint oil for a refreshing feel, so it will have a mild scent. But don't worry - it's not lingering.

Is Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA Toner good for Acne?

When it comes to dealing with acne (especially cystic acne, pustules and whiteheads), Some By Mi's AHA BHA PHA Miracle Toner is among the best of the best! It can make a substantial difference in a short amount of time. The triple-exfoliant formula helps to unblock pores and fade acne scars, while niacinamide aids sebum regulation and treats sensitivity. Tea-tree works on cutting redness and inflammation, while allantoin soothes. Mind you, this isn't a mild treatment - it's still fairly strong, so use a cica serum and a good moisturizer if your skin is on the sensitive skin. But with that said, Some By Mi seem to have come across a solid formula when it comes to producing results on congestion.

Does Some By Mi Toner cause purging?

Given this Some By Mi Toner contains 3 types of exfoliating acids, it's possible you may see a "purge" as your pores come unblocked. However, it shouldn't be a long or especially severe one, particularly given as it's meant to ultimately reduce breakouts. To ensure you aren't sensitive to anything in the formula, patch test it on your wrist or the inside of your arm first, before using it on your face. Any purge should be short-lived as the toner works to quell congestion.
