let's recycle!

Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:

1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡

2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.

3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.

FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.

That's it babes! Remember to love our earth; love our planet! #dontbetrashy

What neutralizes redness, reinforces your skin barrier AND provides SPF30 protection at the same time? The answer is Heimish's Moringa Ceramide BB Cream! The texture is like a soft tinted emulsion for a natural, sheer finish. The bonus is that it doesn't settle into fine lines and feels moisturizing enough to be worn on its own if you have combination skin. The formula contains emollients such as moringa seed oil and hyaluronic acid, as well as sensitivity-soothers such as panthenol and niacinamide. Like most BB creams offering a high mineral SPF, it does have greyish undertones because of the zinc and titanium dioxide. But don't worry - it diminishes quickly with a good blend and continues to turn into a warmer shade as it oxidises. The best part is that this BB Cream comes in 10 diverse shades (which isn't the usual play for a Korean brand!)from very fair to deep.

    30ml.

    Product of Korea.

Suitable for all skin types, but especially great for redness-prone and sensitized skin. The finish on this product is sensational - it looks just like skin! Oily skin might find it too dewy. This BB Cream should blend well for those between Type II to Type V on the Fitzpatrick scale, but on very fair (Fitzpatrick I) and anything on the darker side of Fitzpatrick VI, we'd be sceptical.

At the last step of your morning routine, take an appropriate amount and apply evenly. Apply one more layer to the troubled areas that need coverage and blend well.

    Precautions:
Stop using the product immediately and consult a dermatologist when redness, swelling, or other skin irritations occur, and consult a physician. Avoid applying the product on open wounds or skin inflammation. Keep away from direct sunlight and out of reach of infants and children.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is the BB Cream from Heimish foundation?

It's important to note that BB creams in general are not foundation. Foundation's primary purpose is coverage. Most BB creams, including the Moringa Ceramide BB Cream from Heimish, intends to provide a combination of sheer coverage, hydration and sun protection. It's basically an all-in-one, and gives the skin a subtle veil rather than full coverage.

Is the BB Cream from Heimish makeup or skincare?

Now this is an old question - are BB creams makeup or skincare? We like to classify them as makeup because a tint isn't necessary for skincare: however in truth, BB creams sit somewhere between the two categories, providing sheer coverage with typical skincare ingredients and the health of your skin in mind. The BB Cream from Heimish is no different in that regard.

How does the Heimish Moringa Ceramide BB Cream last through the day?

The Moringa Ceramide BB Cream from Heimish performs really well even after a long day - particularly on dry skin and perhaps with a re-application or minor touch-up. On oily skin however, it can start to transfer after sebum starts to come through. Applying a mineral powder or setting powder on top will help, but keep in mind BB creams aren't meant to be heavy duty, longwear makeup.

What are the benefits of moringa in skincare?

Moringa is one of those essential oils that, well, is actually pretty essential. Unlike others which are just present in skincare for their scent, moringa seed oil has been used for centuries as an emollient, anti-ageing elixir and skin soother. Some even swear by it for their hair! The science certainly backs up the tradition. Moringa seed oil is rich in omega fatty acids, the primary one being oleic acid. It's also rich in antioxidants such as vitamins A, E and C. This means it does a great job at moisturizing and reinforcing the skin barrier. Finally, because it has a similar consistency to our skin's natural sebum, it doesn't typically clog pores or contribute to congestion.
