Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:
1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡
2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.
3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.
FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.

Suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin.
Add a few drops of water onto your face and massage. After use, wash oil off with lukewarm water and double cleanse with a low-acid cleanser.

Purito's From Green Cleansing Oil rates extremely highly when it comes to makeup removal. It's also effective at removing thick SPF, with minimal tugging. Two pumps is all you need for a comprehensive clean! It also emulsifies fairly well when rinsed off with water.
Is the Purito From Green Cleansing Oil gentle?
Purito's From Green Cleansing Oil is a favourite of our beauty editor Anura because it is so gentle. It doesn't irritate sensitized skin, and works to dissolve sebum and dirt without the need for excessive rubbing. We haven't yet tested it on waterproof mascara ourselves, but we try and stay away from waterproof eyemake up in general because its ingredents can dry eyelashes out.
Can I use Purito From Green Cleansing Oil everyday?
You can use Purito's From Green Cleansing Oil everyday, twice a day or whenever necessary. Its ingredients list is perfectly safe and clean by Kanvas Beauty's standards. This means no drying alcohols, phthalates, mineral oil or parabens.
Is Purito From Green Cleansing Oil non comedogenic?
Purito's From Green Cleansing Oil is considered non-comedogenic because its formula doesn't contain ingredients that can clog pores. With that said, all oil and balm cleansers need to be washed off completely with a second cleanse on congestion-prone skin, to prevent residue and build up.
Does Purito From Green Cleansing Oil improve skin texture?
We've found double cleansing to be a game changer for skin and Purito's From Green Cleansing Oil is no different: it can improve skin texture, particularly on oily and congestion prone skin. While it might seem counter-intuitive to use an oil cleanser on oily skin, oil attracts oil - therefore, an oil cleanser can help remove and dissolve excess sebum. They are also more effective at removing makeup and SPF. Hence, it can reduce pore clogging and blackheads. Don't forget to follow with a water-based cleanser afterwards, which will get rid of any residue as well as water-based impurities (e.g. sweat).
Should I use an oil cleanser?
We think EVERYONE should use an oil cleanser! Oily and acne-prone skin will benefit from its ability to dissolve sebum. Dry skin will love its ability to clean without stripping, as well as adding additional moisture to your skin before the second cleanse. It's a win for everyone! Now the key is finding the right oil or balm cleanser for you. If you like a thick, velvety oil in a pump format, then Purito's From Green Cleansing Oil is for you.
Is cleansing oil better than water based cleanser?
It's not really a question of whether a cleansing oil is better than a water-based cleanser: you need both. We do think that using a cleansing oil IN ADDITION to a water-based cleanser is better than using a water-based cleanser alone. Ultimately however, it comes down to what rocks with your skin.
Can cleansing oil replace cleanser?
A cleansing oil CAN replace a cleanser on extremely dry skin, but it's not something we'd recommend - generally the best results require an oil-based cleanser first, followed by a water-based cleanser. If your skin is very dry and has a tendency to feel stripped after water-based cleansers, look for water-based cleanser with a skin-matching pH of 5.5. These are ultra-gentle.
