let's recycle!

Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:

1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡

2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.

3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.

FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.

That's it babes! Remember to love our earth; love our planet! #dontbetrashy

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream good for oily skin?

Purito's Cica Clearing BB Cream is an excellent all-rounder, meaning it's generally suitable for all skin types. That said, it's quite a nourishing formula; oily skin might find it too dewy for all-day wear.

Does Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream have SPF?

A BB cream by definition is part SPF, part tint and part moisturizer; hence, Purito's Cica Clearing BB Cream does have SPF; SPF 38 PA+++ to be exact, making it broadspectrum. For the Australian sun, SPF50+ is best, particularly if you're looking at a long day of sun exposure. However, for a regular day at the office / event, it's perfect.

How does Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream last through the day?

Purito's Cica Clearing BB Cream performs really well even after a long day - particularly on dry skin. On oily skin however, it can start to transfer after sebum starts to come through. Applying a mineral powder or setting powder on top will help, but keep in mind BB creams aren't meant to be heavy duty, longwear makeup.

How well does the Purito BB cream blend?

Purito's Cica Clearing BB Cream blends exceptionally well to a light, blurring finish. It's lightweight and not intended for heavy or comprehensive coverage, bring a BB Cream. Use a flat brush or sponge for better blending, and apply on top of your moisturizer after it's dried / fully absorbed for the best results.

What are the benefits of cica in skincare?

What AREN'T the benefits of cica in skincare?! This wonder-herb used for eons in various forms of traditional medicine across Asia but popularized by K-Beauty boasts antibacterial, anti-inflammatory AND antioxidant properties. This means it's a staple in soothing and redness-relieving skincare, as well as effective in anti-acne and anti-ageing products. We think it's particularly great on treatng sensitized skin, having proved on our own skin (frequently burned out by trying way too many active ingredients) that it can assist in repairing and restoring in quick time.

How good is the Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream shade selection?

Purito's Cica Clearing BB Cream comes in 6 shades across the skin tone spectrum that blend extremely well across most skin shades (except perhaps for exceptionally pale or dark, which may require a more precise formula). The original BB cream was far more limited in shades, so we're happy to see Purito has expanded to include warm and deep skin tones. Keep it going!

Does the Purito BB Cream feel heavy or lightweight?

Purito's BB Creams are lightweight, although quite hydrating as well - so if you have oily skin, you may want to pare down your moisturizer or forego it altogether.

Is Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream oil free?

Purito's Cica Clearing BB Cream is oil-free, although it contains a number of humectants emollients. Just be aware the formula uses silicones, giving it a silky texture and encouraging moisture retention (important for skin whose skin barrier has been damaged). On oily skin, this same ingredient can feel heavy but it also depends on what moisturizer you use underneath.

Does the Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream apply evenly?

Based on your application methods, the Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream applies evenly and without much process. A thick brush or even your fingers will do. Unlike a traditional foundation or thicker makeup, it spreads easily.
